a different angle of honoring
Three times this Monday morning I heard the expression “Out of sight.” As in, “Far out. That’s totally out of sight, Noreen.” This is a phrase, a description, a statement which fell out of the ’60’s. Just like me. And one I have always cherished, all the more these days and decades as those three words have seemingly dangled off into the shadows of this life.
‘Out of sight” — so filled with love. Maybe awe and wonder, maybe respect, maybe just being polite. Maybe all those things. And surely, filled with love. Like the way Stevie Wonder was singing it late days of 1965. Alright and out of sight.
Just like that. Out of sight.
Groovey phrase. I have been trying to revive groovey for the past ten years.
It’s a good goal.
