getting along
My mind was less linear when writing my ‘Morning Pages’ earlier, always a joy, and I’d like to think the path on which I’ve commited to travel. I saw a hummingbird at the tippity top of the tallest tree. The Red Sox have sighed their way to a .500 record. My ex-wife walked with me on this morning’s walk – in my mind.
Like that.
Maybe I’ll go grab a sentence from the ‘Pages’, type it here cause that feels like a cool thing to do, then end this post with a fact worth sharing. Here’s a sentence — “And why is it no surprise at all it ain’t a a straight road, Brah, like what was I thinking, detours be me, thar be dragons long before that was a good thing.”
The plan – here’s the fact – is to fly to St. Louis, Missouri tomorrow and meet up with my son Cameron and spend the next three days with him and the daughter-in-law and the grandkids on their newly-owned 17 acres in the middle of the state. Means this will be the last post at Couch Surfing this week. If that feels a little heartbreaking for you, here’s some comfort from a song lyric way back there when I was a kid hanging out at Pinehurst and Parkwood Beaches — “Got along without you before I met you, gonna get along without you now.”
Seeing each other, and all of it, on the flip side.
Have a wonderful visit with your family..xo
