here on earth

I have always loved the Christmas song, “Let There Be Peace On Earth and Let It Begin With Me.” I listen to a version by The Tabernacle Choir, with guest soloist Erin Morley, on YouTube every so often. Including here just now. Maybe it’s a puzzling subject to blog about the day before Thanksgiving, like watching ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ on my birthday in January. All stepping off the top of the 100-foot pole to walk back into the marketplace and hopefully be useful. Emotional staying power.

Dawn has come up in San Diego again, and streams of clouds have arrived to be lit up from the sky’s pastel palette, something of a musical accompaniment, like with Erin and The Choir, and a visual delight, like Lucy snatching the ball away from Charlie forever, then offering psychiatric counseling for the real deal of only a nickel, things both entirely predictable in their 10,000 repititions, and never-before brand new, at the same time.

Sometimes I come here and just write what pops into my head. You may have noticed.
