how, why, that, who
Ah – now I approach the place here in the Blog I imagined one morning on my way to – and as part of – this almost retired, wicked poor, nowhere to go to in a hurry space at age 75. Writing about the writing — “process” too sterile of a word; “interwoven-ness” better; “inevitability” cool too.
Here’s a passage I wrote in a “timed writing” the end of last week. — “One of the things I want to write about in a post in this Blog is the process of the writing of a post. Not so much the ‘how’ of it, the step-by-step telling of a story. Or the ‘why’ of it, the energy behind this particular tale. More the ‘that’ of it, a sum greater than its how and why.” And yes, I did use that sterile ‘process’ word Friday.
Then this is some of a post I wrote here in Couch Surfing August 13, 2018, six years ago and maybe two days into this Blog’s existence. — “I asked a number of people Sunday if they would check out and subscribe to my new Blog, meaning (if you subscribe) whenever I add a new post you will receive notice of it in your email. What you do with the notice is up to you – hopefully you go see what’s new. The Blog/website is going to be focused on the practicality of life, and hopefully many things magical, stimulating, and filled with at least some degree of grace. I’m hoping for an interactive experience.”
Back then sort of referring to the ‘what’ of it – magically engaging grace – which I’ve done my best to create and share here all these years. Ah – when I wrote that early post I had 6 subscribers.
Maybe it comes down to the ‘who’ is the one telling these stories. Let’s see. More to follow.
