letters

I have written and mailed five letters to friends in the last week and a half. This is far more than my stated-out-loud intention to write and mail one a week, part of my plan to singlehandedly bring back the art of letter writing to the entire planet.

While walking a while ago, it came to me that every time I write and send a letter to a friend I am sending a letter to myself. Every time.

This is so clear to me.
