two days later

So here it is Wednesday, two days after Christmas. If you’re a regular here you may have noticed there were no posts last week. That was not my choice. The couchsurfing site was broken. When I reached out to the webmasters for help, the replies I received required an exquisite understanding of Hutu, or Martian. Yesterday I showed up here again and hit ‘Publish’ again, and for reasons my great ancestors may understand, but I sure don’t, it did. I’ll find out in a couple of minutes if that was an outlier, or if some of the magic of the day came here with pity for me.

This week I’m broken. I’d say sick as a dog because it’s rather easy to say something I’ve heard all my life. But the Koan Sarah Roshi has given me to sit with goes like this — A monk asked Joshu, “Does a dog have buddha nature or not?” Joshu replied, “No.”

So, I’ll simply say sleeping has been a drag, I’m single-handedly keeping the kleenex companies in the black, and earlier this Wednesday morning I had a delightful fantasy that I could purchase Z-Pack antibiotics in a vending machine – like candy and cigarettes.
