Is the word of the day “suffering”? No. The word of the day is “precious”. This, that, the other thing – precious. My granddaughter’s light when she looks at me. Precious. This fun red-checkered blanket which wasn’t enough last night – Precious. This morning, the first cardinal I’ll see, if I’m lucky. Precious.
