a history with cows

My blog feels like a place to just tumble out a bunch of words this morning, without a particular need to say anything important or useful or – geez – necessarily engaging. Though, having said that, I do honor the fact you have shown up. Again.

Yesterday was this wildly roller coaster trip of emotions and, happily, awareness’s. Promises broken, new promises made. People saying, “Tough luck, kid.” And people stepping forward, “Here, kid, let me help you with that.” And the awareness thing – How I am is how my mind is. Fifth-grade material. And yet.

“What’s most important?” is always a good question for me to remember.

Earlier I decided that from this address I can walk to and through downtown and under the 101 and through the swinging gate which says, “Cattle grazing,” and up by the cows (if I’m lucky) and up to that mountain bench I’ve discovered. Hang out there a while and then the long walk back here. Amazingly, and gratefully, I still have it in me.
