a bit of mindfulness
I had a conversation with my friend Bob from Massachusetts the other day. The focus was on something I was wondering/worrying about, but by the time we clicked off our phones on both sides of the country, I realized we had been talking about something entirely else. Something I needed to hear and feel.
Falling through my Morning Pages the next day were evidences of a slightly greater understanding. Of things, of me, of the way my mind operates – and ancient stories and right-here today eyes. When I can pause for a minute, all of it wonder and grace and gratitude.
Trudging on.
