happy trails
Wow.
This is the last post here in this blogging space known as Couch Surfing at 70. I have a sadness with that. Even as this address on the web has become a bit broken here and there as these last nearly six years have come, and gone. Even as the expense of maintaining this ‘home’ no longer makes sense. There’s a sadness.
I’m well past 70 today. And, first with Covid, followed by big changes in my life, I have not asked anyone, anyplace, “Can I couch surf?” for quite awhile. So, the sign on the front door here, which has always simply said “Welcome”, fits nicely in my backpack – which is my life – and can, and will, come along with me to my new address.
Which is this – 148curiousthings.com
If you have been a loyal, devoted follower and reader here, here at Couch Surfing, I hope you will come along as I settle in just a couple of streets over. Chances are I’ll be inviting you personally over the next little while.
I have learned much about myself and my place in the world since that November morning in a basement in Portland, Oregon, simply by showing up here most of those weekdays. Maybe even grown up a little. There’s been a sense of community through all of it. For sure.
Thank you. And Welcome.
Thank you Buddy for being you and for all that you have offered here and do. You are a hell of a writer, philosopher, thinker, human being. I have enjoyed Couch Surfing at 70 very much ♥️???????? -Robin
Thanks for these kind words Robin. As you will see. sometimes the day, and not me, makes the plans. More to follow. And congratulations on your marriage again.
