the very last drop
While I was finishing my coffee this morning, trying to keep my attention on the experience of every swallow, including the last one, the memory of an advertising jingle slid into my mind – “Good to the very last drop.”
I can’t remember the product – Nescafe? Folger’s? Maxwell House? Of course I could Google it. But life these days seems to be teaching me to lose interest in shortcuts.
So, I’ll prefer, when out on this morning’s walk, a hummingbird fly close and buzz me the answer.
