uncool tidbits two
I have sent out an email attachment with the file of my new book to six folks, identified as Oregon, Rhode Island, New Jersey, California, and Massachusetts twice – Quincy and Malden. A sentence in the email asking for a ‘general impression.’ In my Pages earlier I was wondering, in writing, why I had done it. Like, what’s the goal? As the plan to publish almost certainly won’t change no matter the feedback. Mostly, kind of brainstorming on the page, I came up with just sharing. Just sharing it.

I went to the San Diego Zoo Friday night with Ann, her son and his wife, and their child, for what was called “Halgloween.” It was very cool, especially riding in the Skyfari – high above San Diego – out and then back in the setting sun. There were about a billion people at the zoo that night. Further evidence of the Simon and Garfunkle song – “It’s all happening.”
I have burned just over a quarter tank of gas in the Camry these last three weeks, in the ongoing spartan-like effort to spend as little money as possible. Me and Fats Domino – “I’m Walkin.'”
Also last Friday I interviewed for a job, in an ongoing effort to find new money. It was my favorite interview to date, a video interview in which I could see she who asked me the questions – and be seen. I’m supposed to hear back, either continue the process or good luck, sometime this week. The interview not for the ghastly position of “Behavior Technician,” this opportunity a “Developmental Paraprofessional.” I needed to look up the ‘para’ thing:
“Historically, paraprofessionals assisted the master professional of their field. In more recent times, paraprofessionals have become a professional in their own right, providing services which meet the needs of a particular recipient or community. The Greek prefix “para-” indicates beside or side by side (as in “parallel”); hence, a paraprofessional is one who works alongside a professional, while being a professional themselves.” – Wikipedia
Interesting. Mostly I just feel like me.
