what’s with these offers

Sunday morning Ann opens the office door and says, “I’m skipping yoga and going to see the king tides, if you want to come.” This facing my relatively set early Sunday schedule. And yet, on my knees each morning – something closer to breathing intention than praying – the words “All offers.”

Opinion-less open mindedness, over a long, long time, having become “fetchable.” A Sunday offer come to fetch me. So, a “Yes” to the day. I could have been asked, “Do you want to go to breakfast and eat organic cereal and oranges?,” an offer to which the assured “No” would have been, really, just another “Yes.” If you don’t think about it.

Perhaps an open mindedness for all offers simply thrives within the realm of noticing. “Oh, there’s an offer, how sweet.” Where either yes or no gets it.

I did go with Ann to Mission Beach to look at the king tides, the waves were large, the ocean up. We walked way out and we walked back in the warming morning sun over by the Mission Bay side of the boulevard. Then we went to a farmer’s market back closer to home, where Ann stocked up with cara cara oranges. I did finish my set Sunday morning things after a time, the last one Monday morning.
